Amassoma is a community on Wilberforce Island in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area, and the home of Niger Delta University, which was established in 2000. It is about 30 to 45 kilometres from Yenagoa depending on the route, which is why eating well here is not the same problem as in the capital.
